Thank you for visiting our website here in the parish of St Matthew & St Wilfrid Sunderland. We are a parish church in the City of Sunderland, the Deanery of Wearmouth and the Diocese of Durham, we are part of the Church of England and the Anglican Church worldwide.
From Sunday 5th July 2020 the Parish Church will be open for a joint parish service of Holy Communion at 10am and Evensong at 5pm, the church will be open at 9:30am on Wednesday for Holy Communion.
We do not feel able to return to worship at Doxford Community Centre yet but this will be under constant review.
All services will continue to be recorded and live streamed or recorded and published on social media later in the day to ensure the service is accessible to all.
Baptisms, Weddings & Funerals may also take place with restrictions.
A full risk assessment has been carried out and all services will be subject to strict social distancing, handwashing and other measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
A record of all attending services will be kept for 21 days to assist NHS Track & Trace.
